[overtime] An explosion of entities
Day 9. A Wednesday, if I haven't lost track. I haven't seen the sun in weeks, and I feel like the walls are closing in...
Also, we now have some improved spawning algorithms! Monsters can be random wanderers or only spawn in treasure rooms or both! A treasure room is any one of the 1 to 5 rooms furthest from the starting point, as determined by A*. When the map is generated, these rooms are found and stored in the map.
Currently treasure rooms are just spawning points for boss-type monsters, but I've considered having special room templates to place in them, and some useful actual treasure. Random chests guarded by orcs aren't my theme this game, but I'm sure I can devise something similar.
Speaking of treasure, once I implement it, it will come in 3 flavors: Random Treasure which is just generated from a list. Monster-specific treasure, which will be generated from a list for each monster. Boss Treasure will be randomly placed in rooms with the appropriate boss monster. It will basically be specialized Monster-specific treasure that isn't in the monster's inventory.
